ENGLISH PREPATORY PROGRAM

Foreign language teaching has an important place in the education system of Istanbul Technical University. Students who are entitled to study at our university receive English education within the framework of the Undergraduate Preparatory Program at the ITU School of Foreign Languages for at least one and a maximum of two semesters when necessary, taking into account their language proficiency before starting their undergraduate education.

Thanks to the English education they receive in the undergraduate preparatory program, students are prepared in the most equipped way for the ability to easily understand the foreign language courses, as well as the academic language proficiency they will need throughout their entire education life, in our programs that provide education with 30% or 100% English options within the university.

English education is supported during the entire period of university education with courses such as ‘Advanced English’ and ‘Academic Article Writing’ in the curriculum of all engineering departments.
